  These olive root slices come from olive tree roots collected in the Iznik region of Turkey. Olive root wood is known for dramatic burl formations, dense hardwood structure and naturally unique shapes.
  
  Traditional saw blades are not suitable for olive roots because natural cavities may contain stones and soil. For this reason, each root is cut using a specialized diamond wire saw system.
  
  Before cutting, each root is thoroughly cleaned with high-pressure washing machines to remove stones, soil and bark. This leaves the edges clean, smooth and naturally shaped. Each slice is then slowly cut with a diamond wire saw, washed again, kiln dried, CNC surfaced and carefully sanded smooth.
